Career and Technical Education Month®: Improving Outcomes for Secondary Students with Disabilities
In light of Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month®, this Inside IES Research blog post describes recent awards from the National Center for Special Education Research (NCSER) for two studies focused on improving CTE for students with disabilities. One project is exploring ways to estimate CTE teacher effectiveness using a variety of student outcomes. The second project is developing a program to augment typical college and career readiness activities for students with or at risk for emotional and behavioral disorders. The principal investigators share their thoughts on the motivation for and potential impact of their studies.
