Work-Based Learning Data Collection Toolkit
Title:
Work-Based Learning Data Collection Toolkit
Description:
Work-based learning (WBL) helps youth explore potential careers, but how can educators know if these opportunities are available to all students? Produced by the Education Development Center (EDC), this toolkit guides district and school administrators in developing or improving their systems for collecting high-quality data about student participation in work-based learning. The toolkit includes steps and examples for setting up a data collection system and using the information to drive program improvement as well as guidance for researchers and evaluators in using WBL data. The toolkit draws on lessons learned from a multi-year EDC study funded by the Institute of Education Sciences, the research arm of the U.S. Department of Education.
