Career and technical education (CTE) programs are enjoying a renaissance as pathways to careers in high-wage, high-demand fields. But how can these programs avoid the inequities that plagued vocational education in the past? In this policy brief from MDRC, practitioners from 14 innovative CTE programs tackle this question and discuss equity in CTE access and outcomes. The authors' advice: "With the help of researchers, incorporate equity goals into the evaluation of programs and develop and test equity-based interventions."
