Research
The CTE Research Network 2.0 includes six research teams, each of which is working on a major IES-funded research project to explore career development opportunities in a school district and examine their impact on student outcomes. These teams participate in collaborative activities to share findings, strengthen their research, and learn from one another. The Network Lead facilitates these efforts, carries out research activities of its own, and communicates the network’s findings—all to provide policymakers and CTE practitioners with reliable evidence on CTE programs, policies, and practices.
Network Lead Project
The Network Lead team is currently carrying out a systematic evidence review focused on work-based learning. Additional cross-network projects will launch over the upcoming years to further advance CTE research.
Network Members
Each of the participating research teams is conducting an exploratory study of available career development opportunitites for secondary students in a large school district. Individual teams will then conduct impact studies to examine the effects of one or more of the career development opportunitites on student outcomes.
